Akousmaflore is an interactive installation, a small garden composed of living musical plants, which react to gentle contact. Each plant reacts to contact in a different way, producing a specific sound. The plant “language” or song occurs through touch and the close proximity of the spectator. Our invisible electrostatic energy acts on the plant branches and encourages them to react. The plants sing when the viewer touches or lightly strokes them. A plant concert is created.

Grégory Lasserre and Anaïs met den Ancxt are the collaborators who make-up Scenocosme. They live in the Rhône Alpes region in France and have been working together since 2003. Their practice includes interactive installations, visual art, digital art, sound art and collective performance.
