Witness will be a 5 day process of conversations and texts. The intention is investigate the political, economic and social histories of the slogan: "power to the people" and to consider what it might mean today. The project will use dictation machines and notice boards to record a collaborative text, developed during the 5 days of conversations with members of the public.
Otiose has been active internationally since 1997, with projects in the UK, Europe and North America, recent projects include 5 Days of Being at Leisure, for the Burning Bush Festival in Dundee, Scotland. When not making art, Otiose enjoys going to bars and cafes.
