Waterfall is interactive public art posing as a vending machine. It actually is an interactive video piece where the audience can ‘vend’ video clips on the screen. Video clips of our everyday interaction with water replace merchandise and products we would normally see displayed. As cards fall away they reveal a video of a thundering waterfall, a powerful reminder of the force of water in the natural environment that is threatened by easy access to available water resources. This piece was commissioned by the Canadian Wildlife Foundation and created for the 2010 Winter Olympics.
