Soheila Esfahani's Cultured Pallets: KW is a transient installation constructed from stacks of approximately 250 recycled wooden shipping pallets. The installation grows out of the artist's ongoing process of marking shipping pallets with an email address ([email protected]) and a variety of motifs and designs. The cultured pallets are then sent back into circulation.  The artist completes the project by tracking the pallets after they leave the exhibition and engaging in correspondence with the individuals who find them. The various designs and motifs used for marking the pallets in this project are collected in various locations within Kitchener-Waterloo.
