03. Ann Marie Hadcock (Wiarton, ON), Dream of an Oasis

Dream of an Oasis will consist of an artificial tree that will be wrapped in white chenille. The artificial tree will appear covered and surrounded with a heavy layer of snow. Dream of an Oasis will be temporarily installed within a line of natural trees within Victoria Park.

Ann Marie Hadcock was born in Hamilton, Ontario in 1979. She currently lives in Wiarton, Ontario. Ann has a Fine Art Diploma from Fanshawe College, Honours Visual Arts Degree from the University of Western Ontario and an MFA from the University of Windsor Ontario. Hadcock is the recipient of an Emerging Artist Project Grant from the Ontario Arts Council and a Canadian Arts Council Project Grant in 2011. In 2014 Hadcock has three upcoming exhibitions; Dream of an Oasis for CAFKA 2014, The Homefront at Tom Thomson Art Gallery in Owen Sound and an outdoor installation project for White Water Gallery in North Bay.
