Trickster child of a Stonecoat mother and Dullahan father. Brandon Hoax is a Haudenosaunee, Onyota'a:ka (Oneida), Two-Spirit artist from London Ontario, and Oneida Nation of the Thames. Residing in K'jipuktuk (Halifax). Hoax holds a BFA from NSCAD University, and has exhibited at Nocturne (2017, 2021), Everyseeker (2021), and Khyber Centre for the Arts (2019) in Halifax, NS. In 2020, Hoax was accepted into the Banff Centre for the Arts Kinship Medicines residency, and in 2021, they participated in a residency at Eyelevel artist-run centre under the mentorship of Two Spirit/Queer, Métis/Saulteaux/Polish artist Dayna Danger. Their work has been acquired by the Canada Council Art Bank, Nova Scotia Art Bank, and the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia. Their work is currently on view in Celestial Bodies at Campbell River Art Gallery.
