The Yeti, 14 Eby Street, Kitchener

Jimmy Limit produced a series of large-scale photographs printed on vinyl and applied to store windows in downtown Kitchener. Employing commercial product photography, marketing and presentation techniques, Jimmy Limit creates still-life compositions using objects either acquired directly from businesses near the installation site or using objects that make reference to the site’s utility. His images are bright and attractive and at the same time mysterious and enigmatic.

St. Catharines, based artist Jimmy Limit is a native of Toronto. He studied photography at the Novas Scotia College of Art and Design and received his BFA from the Ontario College of Art and Design University. Recent exhibition include 2015 "Surplus", at Clint Roenisch Gallery, Toronto (winner of the The Scotiabank CONTACT Photography Festival Gattuso Prize for best exhibition); "Blue and Yellow / Chain, Key and Pipe", Queen Specific Gallery, Toronto (2014); "Untitled" (Studio Assistant V1 for Drake 150), Drake 150 Restaurant, Toronto (2014); "Recent Advancements", Rodman Hall/Brock University, St Catharines (2014; and "Jimmy Limit Spring/Summer 2012 (In America)", Printed Matter, NYC (2013).
